Huo Xiaoyue kept pouring herself more alcohol in the private room.

Ning Zhi drank yogurt next to her.
“You don’t need to drink like that even though you don’t need to pay for the alcohol.”

Huo Xiaoyue, as she drank, finally started to cry with the wine bottle in hand.
“That evil witch Li Li was right.
I was the one responsible for my brother’s injury.”

She turned and looking at Ning Zhi, said, “I was such a fool.
I never should have listened to Li Li.
Wuwuwuw……”

Ning Zhi took a sip of her yogurt, nodded, and said, “Yup, I can tell.”

“Wuwuwu.” Huo Xiaoyue cried even harder.
“Can’t you say something nice? Why are you being such a jerk!”

Ning Zhi, her yogurt in hand, said righteously, “I only woo Lu Jue.”

WAH!

Huo Xiaoyue started to bawl.
She was sad enough already; she didn’t need to be fed more dogfood.

Her eyes reddened.
“My brother is such an amazing person and now he will be wheelchair bound for life.
It was all my fault but he didn’t blame me one bit.
I wish the accident had happened to me instead.”

She cried and regretted everyday during her first year overseas.

“If only I can go back in time and redo it all, I will beat myself up and make I snap out of it.”

Crying, Huo Xiaoyue said, “No, I will save my brother and not let him get into that accident.”

Something occurred to Ning Zhi and she asked, “You mentioned that your brother was injured while trying to save Lu Jue.
What happened there?”

Huo Xiaoyue cried and laughed but did not give Ning Zhi the details.

Ning Zhi coaxed her.
“Tell me.
Perhaps I will be able to help you out.”

“You help me out? How will you be able to do that? Will you be able to help me save my brother?” All the alcohol made Huo Xiaoyue’s dizzy.

“Oh, save your brother? I can’t guarantee you anything but tell me the story first.” Ning Zhi wasn’t sure whether she would or would not be able to do that.
She couldn’t predict what would happen.

Huo Xiaoyue recounted the incident to Ning Zhi in tears.
“I was a spoiled brat, was I? Everybody hates me, right?”

Ning Zhi nodded, “That’s exactly right.”

Huo Xiaoyue bawled again.

“Shut up.
You are making my ears hurt.” Ning Zhi leaned on the back of the chair as she sipped her yogurt.
“If you beg me, I might be able to help your brother.”

Huo Xiaoyue suddenly stopped crying.
Smiling, she said, “Pleeeease.”

She bobbed her head.
“If you can save my brother, I will even address you as ‘grand aunt’.”

Ning Zhi chuckled.
“Okay, don’t you forget that.”

Huo Xiaoyue drank some more and, finally, seeing how pitiful Huo Xiaoyue looked, Ning Zhi also drank a few glasses of wine with her.

Nevertheless, Ning Zhi quickly realized that this body would get drunk with the tiniest bit of alcohol.

Ning Zhi was able to hold alcohol well in her past and hadn’t been drunk in a long time.

Her cheeks were red and her mind started getting hazy.
“I don’t have time for you anymore.
I need to go back to keep Lu Jue company.”

Ning Zhi called the manager over and had the female manager took Huo Xiaoyue back to her room.

Returning to her room, Lu Jue had already woken up and was sitting on the bed staring into the air.
He finally reacted when he saw Ning Zhi.

Ning Zhi walked over to him, “Have you been waited long for me?”

Lu Jue didn’t make a sound but looked quietly at Ning Zhi.
He noticed that her cheeks were red.

“I’m sorry I am home late.” Ning Zhi smiled at him.
Her eyes curved and her black eyes limpid.

“Or, I can make it up to you.” Ning Zhi suggested with her head cocked.

Lu Jue’s lips were shut tight.

“You like me kissing you on your Adam's apple.” Ning Zhi sat down next to him and scooted closer to her.
“I like to kiss you there too.
There are a lot of little suns there.”

Ning Zhi touched Lu Jue’s Adam's apple with her fingertips and brushed over it repeatedly.

Looking at Lu Jue gulping and his Adam's apple’s rolling up and down, Ning Zhi giggled.
“So pretty.”

Having said that, Ning Zhi leaned over and planted a kiss over it.
