The voting for the “Best Couple” was over, and each of us had to fill out a ballot for the pair we thought was the “Best Couple”, from first to third place, on the ballots we were given at the entrance.

“That’s it, the tally is done!”

Kazumi took the microphone again.

“Then I’ll announce the fourth and fifth place winners.
Those whose names are called, please step forward.

“You’re going to announce the fifth place first?”

Karen took it.

The look on her face was one of dissatisfaction.

After receiving our gifts, we were lined up in front of us on the right side.

Fourth place went to a couple of second-year students.

The prize was a pair of mugs.

It seemed to be a famous brand.

Kazumi continued with her announcement.

“And now for the third place! Wow, this is a big surprise! I can’t believe I’m watching this!”

Kazumi held up the note that the tally clerk had given her.

“It’s a pair of me and Ishida-kun!”

The audience erupted.

“Then come forward, Ishida-kun.
The prize is a book voucher worth 3,000 yen!

Ishida came forward with an embarrassed smile on his face.

Kazumi said as she handed it over.

“Half of this is my share, so don’t take it all by yourself!”

Everyone in the hall laughed again when she said that.

The second place went to a couple of third-year students who have a reputation as the “calmest couple in the circle.

It would not be surprising if these two were chosen as the best couple.

Kazumi paused for a pause.

“It’s the pair of Tetsuya Kamokura and Touko Sakurajima!”

She then pointed to them with her palm.

I could hear the voices around me saying, “I knew it,” and “That’s right,” with neither resignation nor admiration.

“Both of you, please come forward.”

Kamokura was told to do so, followed by the downcast Touko-senpai who stepped forward.

“The first place prize is today’s accommodation at the Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay, with a panoramic night view of Tokyo Bay!”

The room buzzed as Kazumi held up the ticket containing the accommodation voucher high above her head.

“You mean the two of you are going straight to the hotel?”

She then handed the accommodation tickets to Touko-senpai.

Everyone clapped in a somewhat absent-minded manner.

“By the way, Touko, I believe you have something to say in front of everyone, right?”

Then Kazumi handed the microphone to Touko-senpai.

Touko received the microphone silently.

Everyone looked at her with interest, “What’s about to start?” Everyone looked at her with interest.

Touko-senpai looked down for a while, but then she looked up.

“I, Touko Sakurajima, hereby declare that as of this day, I am terminating my relationship with Kamokura Tetsuya.”
