Feng Wu shook her head.
“I don’t know them but I don’t like them.” Her instincts honed from years playing with the animals on Yuehua mountain told her to stay away from them.

“I see.” Jier sneered.
“If you meet them again, tell me and I’ll knock some sense into them.”

Feng Wu nodded obediently.
She would follow Jier’s order.

Elena gave Feng Wu more advice.
“Xiao Wu, in the future, there’ll be other people who’ll come up to you and ask you to help them level up.
Do you know? The main purpose for coming to the virtual world is to gain experience and get stronger.
It doesn’t help anyone if you help them level up.
Quite the opposite.
It’ll slow their development.”

“I know.
I won’t take them.”

“How come you didn’t take that one girl to level up?” When did Feng Wu get so smart? She actually knew to refuse and avoid being taken advantage of.
Elena was so pleased.
Feng Wu had grown a lot since the last time they saw each other.

Feng Wu thought about the question a bit before replying.
“Brother Pei Qing said we don’t come to the virtual world to play.
We come for experience.

Don’t think about relying on others and don’t let others rely on you.” She duly repeated what Pei Qing had told her.

Actually Pei Qing hadn’t said it because he was that high minded.
It was simply because he knew there were bad people out there and he didn’t want them to take advantage of Feng Wu.
He would have been surprised at how quickly his advice saved her.

Turned out Elena had been overthinking things, Feng Wu was still the same Feng Wu, no growth at all.
She and Jier both gave Pei Qing kudos in their hearts.

That guy could be reliable sometimes.

Elena didn’t stay too long in the virtual world.
She left quickly after they finished eating.
Like Pei Qing said, experience in the virtual world depended on personal strength; she didn’t intend to interfere.
Helping them would have defeated the whole purpose of the virtual world.

Jier stayed behind and took Feng Wu to fight some monsters.
He knew she didn’t like hurting beast ones so he took her to places that spawned humanoid ones.
Monster mobs in the virtual world were aggressive but they had no sentience.
They were built to spawn continuously so Feng Wu didn’t feel bad killing them.

Telling the difference between the virtual world and the real world was nearly impossible though.
Ability and skill in here were no different from ability and skill in the real world.
From humanoid monsters to skilled swordsmen, it was the same as fighting in the real world.
Your strength had to be the real deal if you wanted to get to the top.

Jier and Feng Wu were strong but they couldn’t move into the more advanced regions because their rank was still too low.
They had to settle with leveling up by fighting monsters in the area.
It was easy for them so it was worthless for training experience.
They really had to move to a higher region and fight stronger monsters if they wanted to get stronger themselves.

Jier and Feng Wu had been fast friends since they met.
Jier treated Feng Wu like his own daughter.
They worked really well as a team so they blew through the mob easily.

A new region opened up every ten rank ups.
The masters already gathered in the higher-level regions.
You wouldn’t see them in low areas like this.

Jier and Feng Wu battled for an hour.
They earned a lot of experience points.
They’d be able to rank up and access more regions soon enough.

Unfortunately god didn’t want them to enjoy peacefully leveling up and sent two people to annoy them.

Nicole gushed, “Older sister, so you’re here too.
How great is that? Do you want to practice with me? I promise to behave.
I’ll pick up all your things and I won’t run around.” Yes it was the same cute girl from before who had tried to snare Feng Wu.

“Xiao Wu, when did you get a sister?” Jier sneered casually from the side at this girl claiming Xiao Wu as sister.

Feng Wu looked seriously at Nicole before shaking her head.
“I don’t have a sister.”

“Isn’t she your little sister?” The fellow that accompanied Nicole looked like a high ranker, definitely at least level 20.
Adventurers could only use detection techniques on those within a 10 level range of their own, so this was why Jier and Feng Wu knew he had to be level 20 or above.

The guy looked quizzically at Feng Wu and Nicole.
Why did one claim one was her sister, while the other denied it? [notes]

“Big guy, if I called you my older brother would you magically turn into my older brother?” Jier asked.
He kicked at a humanoid that randomly attacked.

The guy nodded his head in agreement.
“Oh, I understand now.” It turned out the dark-haired had no blood relation to the blonde.

Nicole didn’t expect the helper she brought along would make her stumble.
She gritted her teeth.
She wished she hadn’t brought such a fool along.

She wouldn’t have bothered with someone as rough as him if it weren’t for his high rank.
Nicole had standards.
She only liked handsome men.

“Big Sister, fight the monster with us.
Anton is really strong.
He’ll help us level up faster.” Nicole stared at Feng Wu.
There was a shimmer of tears in her eyes ready to fall at the first sign of rejection.

“Brother Anton, won’t adding us be cumbersome?” Jier asked.
This Anton guy looked like a master so why did he come to such a low-level area?

“You don’t have to be so humble; I saw your strength from a distance just now.
I didn’t have such skills at your age.
How can you be a burden?” Anton waved his hand and looked at Feng Wu.
