Chapter 40.3 – It’s Not My Fault For Being So Cute! (3/4)

Just at this moment, the crisp sound of high heels walking on the floor could be heard from a distance, and it was especially noticeable in the empty hospital corridor.
Yin Yiliu looked over curiously and saw a young woman dressed in a red dress and stiletto heels as thin as wine glass stems.

Her looks were five points, but with exquisite makeup and lipstick, as well as having dressed in a red dress and stiletto heels which was incompatible with the apocalypse survivors, her appearance had been raised to seven points.

There were two men beside the woman, who seemed to be her bodyguards.
One of them was holding a mutated hamster that kept wriggling up and down, and it was almost as big as the size of a football.

The mutated hamster’s cheeks were bulging, and it was unknown what was hidden inside.

When it squirmed, its mouth parted slightly, and Yin Yiliu could see it clearly.
The hamster’s teeth were all broken, leaving only a bare mouth, with a slight glimpse of a big nut inside.
It didn’t seem to be feeling well.

Yin Yiliu thought it was a little weird and slowly retracted her gaze.

For her to be acting so high-profile and conspicuous, this girl was either an evolved person with extraordinary ability, or she had a strong background within the base.

As the girl approached, the clanking sound from the high heels became increasingly louder as if it was stepping on the tip of a person’s heart.

After seeing the girl, the doctor who had been standing not far away rushed over and said with a bootlicking smile, “Miss Niu, what brings you here today?”

Miss Niu?

Yin Yiliu’s ears shook slightly.
She recalled what the little boy who had brought them around the base had said before, that Niu Feihuang had a daughter named Niu Ying, who sounded like a difficult person.
Could she be the woman in front of her?

The doctor was also a little flustered at the moment.
Why did this Young Miss come again? Every two or three days, she would loiter around here in the name of seeing a veterinarian for her pet, but it was always innocent people like them who were scolded every time.

Niu Feihuang had chastised them several times, saying that they were a bunch of trash who couldn’t even cure a mouse.

Niu Ying fanned herself with her hand.
The air conditioner in the hospital didn’t work as well as the ones in her villa.
After staying in the villa for a long time, she felt uncomfortable when she came out, and the irritability in her heart was even more unbearable.

“Where’s Qian Qiujiang?”

Qian Qiujiang was the resident veterinarian in the hospital.
Since there were very few mutated animals in the base, there was not much demand for veterinarians; only one was enough.

The doctor thought to himself, Ah, shit.
Qian Qiujiang is treating the little wolf’s wounds now.
How would he have the time to entertain this grand-aunt?1 He hesitated and said with a smile that Qian Qiujiang was treating a patient, but Niu Ying waved her hand impatiently.

“I don’t care.
Summon him here.
My Chubby is sick again.
He has been looking sickly for the past two days.”

Chubby was Niu Ying’s pet hamster.
It was said that because this Young Miss liked small furry animals, Rich Man Niu had searched throughout the entire base before finding a nest of newly born mutated hamsters, injecting them with growth inhibitors and removing their teeth.
This was the only one that survived in the end.

The hamster was Young Miss Niu’s darling.
She would come and make a ruckus here every few days because her hamster was always depressed.

The doctor had a smile on his face, but he was silently complaining in his heart.
Of course the poor hamster would be depressed.
It had been injected with growth suppressant and all of its teeth had been extracted to prevent it from injuring Miss Niu’s precious fingers.
This hamster could only eat liquid food and crushed nuts.

The most speechless part was that Miss Niu upheld humanitarianism and was unwilling to let the hamster’s nature be wiped out.
Every day, she would stuff a big nut into the hamster’s mouth.

Not to mention the hamster, even these doctors had been tortured to the point of depression by her.

The doctor awkwardly glanced at Zhao Sihui, who had remained silent the entire time.
The wolf had come along with this young lady.
Yin Yiliu was still watching the show in front of her, but when she saw the doctor’s gaze shift towards them, she felt an ominous hunch in her heart.

Sure enough, when Niu Ying looked at Zhao Sihui with a displeased expression, her gaze was drawn to a small white beast beside her.

With a small white body, long soft ears, and tiny soft paws, the rabbit was cute as hell! She didn’t know how long she hadn’t seen such a normal-sized pet, so she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Rabbit!!”

Yin Yiliu’s body trembled, and she couldn’t help shrinking back when she saw Niu Ying’s glowing eyes.
Zhao Sihui frowned and tucked the little rabbit behind her.

Seeing the animal she liked out of sight, Niu Ying was a little upset.
She slightly lifted her chin and assessed Zhao Sihui.

Because she was worried about Zhao Qiyang’s injuries, Zhao Sihui hadn’t cleaned up or tidied up her appearance.
Her coat had a few torn holes on it, and her face was dirty and stained with blood.

Seeing her like this, Niu Ying was too lazy to beat around the bush.
She directly told her,

“I want your rabbit.
You can name a price, whether it’s food, firearms, or seeking my father’s protection, as long as it’s not too much.”

She thought since this woman looked unfamiliar and was in such a miserable state, she probably wasn’t a powerful person.
She should be overjoyed and grateful when she learned that she could receive the protection of the Niu family, the overlord of the base.
But contrary to her expectations, Zhao Sihui only frowned slightly and hugged Yin Yiliu a little tighter.

“I’m sorry, but it’s not up to me to make the decision.”

Niu Ying’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Did this woman have no idea who she was? Was she unaware of the consequences of offending her?

姑奶奶 (Grand-aunt): Since she’s not his real grand-aunt, calling a woman his elder is like a sarcastic way of addressing her.
